Mid-Antrim Motor Club members set for new season

ANOTHER season kicked off for Mid Antrim Motor Club on Friday night in the Ross Park Hotel in Kells on Friday night, with their annual prizewinners’ party.

Over 80 guests enjoyed the buffet supper followed by entertainment from Paul Dempster.

Awards were presented for the Stephen Mawhinney Motors rally, the Maxwell Freight Garron Tower hillclimb and the Speedway Karting championship.

Joe McQuillan was 2011 drivers champion, with Mervyn Willamson runner up. Damian McGrath was the co-drivers champion with John Rowan taking the runner up spot.

Jamie Pollock won the karting championship, with Ryan Campbell and Steven Connolly in second and third.

The Stephen Mawhinney Rally will be the club’s next event on March 3, again based at the Ross Park hotel.
