All Saints boxer Enda Kennedy has been called up to represent Ireland in Russia.
The round robin style tournament will consist of Russia, Kazakhstan Uzbekistan and Ireland.
Kennedy caught the eye of Irish Selectors with the recent victory over Irish Elite finalist Sean Higginson at the All Saints Fight night in the Leighmohar house hotel.
Enda is over the moon with the call up and this will provide him with fantastic International experience.
With it being a round robin tournament Enda could box up three to four times in as many days.
The tournament will be in Samara, Russia and a 16 strong Irish team will travel to compete.
Enda is currently training in the High Performance facilities in Jordanstown with the rest of the team 3 days a week and 3 days a week in the All Saints club rooms.
The Irish Team fly out to Russia on the 15th July and Return on the 26th July.
After the summer break, All Saints boxers will begin preparing for another season.
Among last year’s successes for the Cushendall Road club was an Irish title success in the form of Frank Duffin.
The Moneyglass youngster won the 12 years 50 kg class in the National Stadium in Dublin in April.
Another success for All Saints was Tyler McMullan who had a great win in Washington against a top American side over the Easter period.
The Cushendall Road has a superb track record of producing champions from youth level upwards.
