The annual Race Over the Glens promotion takes place at Glenariff Forest Park on New Year’s Day.
Last year, more than 400 runners - the biggest number in the event’s history - tackled the hilly terrain in the traditional curtain-raiser to the new year.
Despite the effects of the stormy weather this week, organisers are confident that the race will be able to go ahead.
In a statement, Ballymena Runners said: “We have had guys round the course this morning which is now fine after storm Frank.
“Thank you to everyone who made sure today we are all safe tomorrow.
“Pre entries suggest a large turnout, we will park you all to make sure we make the the most of the parking available.”
Entries are accepted on the day, registration opens at 10:30.
