Michael Trimby added his name to the list of winners of the annual Killymurris Glarryford singles tournament last week.
The Cookstown Parocial bowler emerged triumphant from an initial field of 210 competitors who started the tournament, which this year celebrated its 20th anniversary.
In a very tight and hard fought final he ultimately triumphed over Dixon Ruthledge, from Sixmilecross, by the narrow margin of eight shots to six.
Trimby was the early pacesetter in the final as he led 7-2 after five ends and although Ruthledge battled back towards the end,, he still came up short, leaving the Cookstown player a deserved winner.
In the semi-finals, Trimby had played well to overcome Aaron Tennant from St Coleman’s, whilst Ruthledge outscored William McCaughran of Michelin.
