Pat notches yet more Pool Festival success

The Connolly’s ‘B’ player has an enviable record in the Festival, with multiple individual, doubles and three-a-side titles to his name.

But it’s the individual competition which always attracts the most attention from players in the Ballymena Towers Pool League and there was an impressive turnout of competitors at the home of the league’s sponsors, Michelin Athletic Club.

But Pat didn’t have it all his own way – he ws extended in virtually every match he played by a line-up of players which included former Northern Ireland international Drew Sloan.

McAnally eventually beat Gary Ormandy by five frames to two in the final, ending an impressive run from the Michelin Inbetweeners player.
