Seconds win mis-match

BALLYMENA Seconds entertained Portadown Seconds at Eaton Park and, as expected, were too strong for the visitors, winning by 69 points to three.

Portadown had problems getting a full team and took the field with 13 players.

Their difficult task was made more difficult after about 10 minutes when they lost another player to injury.

Needless to say it was a stroll in the park for the strong Ballymena side and at half-time they led by 45 points to nil.

In the second half Ballymena took two players off but they still managed to dominate the match and scored another 24 points.

Try scorers for Ballymena were Rory Drysdale (3), S Johnstone (2), Alan McCluggage (2), Darren Montgomery,Alan Smyth, Robbie McGreer and Andy Hamilton. Rory Drysdale got 7 conversions.
