Seven Towers girls make a winning start

The Co Down team were one of only two sides to defeat the Ballymena girls last season, but Seven Towers are significantly stronger this year and won every quarter.

Michelle Scott was named captain and she had an excellent game with numerous interceptions and tight marking throughout.

Julie Anne Cairns used her height as goal shoot to catch every rebound on the rare occasion when Ballymena's shooters missed the target and intercepted most goal line throw ins by Rathfriland, making her the player of the match.
