Successful 2014 for Fit N Running Club members

Ballymena’s Fit N Running athletics club can reflect upon a hugely successful 2014 as the calendar year draws to a close.

The past year, the Michelin Athletic Club’s they have staged three beginners’ classes and welcomed many new members into the club.

The continued success of the local club has saw its members win multiple prizes at local and national level.

As well as this there has been huge improvements from all its members with an endless string of personal bests throughout the year.

This success hasn’t happened by accident as the club has an attention to detail approach with its employment of nutrition plans, strength conditioning classes and periodized running plans reaping the benefits for its athletes when it comes to competitive action.

All of this has ensured the absolute minimum of injuries and maximising of results leading to enjoyment and progression.

So if you feel inspired to take up running and would like to learn how to do it properly under the guidance of a dedicated fitness professional Fit N Running have announced plans for their next beginners’ course.

It will begin on Monday 12th January at the Michelin Club in Ballymena at 730pm.

The course will teach proper running technique, warm up and cool down routines using a range of modern training and strength/conditioning methods.

This will help to to minimise injury and maximise performance enjoyment and progression.

The course will be taken by Personal Trainer and Athletics Coach Gregory Walsh who has 20 years experience as an athlete and coach.

It is suitable for all ages and abilities and designed to take take participants from scratch to 30 - 40 mins running over the eight week duration of the course.

Cost £20 for 8 weeks which includes home conditioning/run plan and access to Fit N Runnings private Facebook beginners support page.

WEEKLY TRAINING

Fit N Running weekly sessions and times are as follows:

Monday 615pm Recreational Run.

Tuesday 615pm Advanced Run.

Wednesday 515pm & 615pm Conditioning circuit training.

Thursday 615 pm 1hour run.

New comers are always welcome.
