It will meet each Wednesday from 7.45pm to 10.15pm (Oct to April) and has eight tables and a newly qualified coach available for those wishing to improve their game.

The club caters for all levels from the beginner who is wishing to improve their skills for the holiday table tennis games in far off Spain to league players and a few players who have represented Ulster, and indeed, Ireland at table tennis.

The club emphasises the social aspect of table tennis and has members aging from primary school up to and beyond their eighties.

The club also has teams in each of the three Divisions of the County Antrim league and organises various tournaments for the Ulster Branch throughout the season.

The prestigious Ulster veterans will kick off the tournament season at Wellington on November 7th and visitors are welcome to come and watch the spectacle.

The club will host an Open Night on Wednesday 7th October at 8pm and we would encourage anyone with an interest in table tennis to come along and have a game or two.

You don’t have to spend a lot of money to play table tennis.

A table tennis bat can be boughtc for around £50, and will give good service while learning the game. Even the most expensive of professional rbat wouldn’t be much more than a hundred pounds.

Plus, the cost of joining the club £20 and the weekly club fees of £2 are low compared to other sports
