Fleadh at NWRC Strand Road campus

NORTH West Regional College’s Strand Road Campus has been chosen to host the All-Ireland Fleadh competitions in August 2013.

This is the first time the Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann will be held in Londonderry, and indeed Northern Ireland, and it is expected that tens of thousands of people will take part in the events throughout 12 – 18 August, ranging from performers, competitors, supporters and festival goers.

The prestigious honour will also see the local College staging the traditional Scoil Éigse, the teaching and learning aspect of the festival.

We are confident that our modern learning and performance facilities will provide the perfect backdrop to an exciting few days of teaching and competition, and look forward to working with our colleagues in the Fleadh organising committees in the build-up to what promises to be a truly memorable week for everyone connected with the 2013 All-Ireland Fleadh.”
