Hundreds of varied lots in New Year sale

It’s all go again at McAfee Auctions as the company plans its first sale of the year scheduled for Friday, January 17 in their Ballymoney Auction Rooms.

Approximately 700 lots of antique and general furnishings, collectibles, paintings, silver and some jewellery will go under the hammer from a number of estates and house clearances.

Among the many pieces of fine furniture are: a large dining room table with
extra leaves; an eight chair set; two matching burr walnut bureau bookcases;
two breakfront display cabinets; lots of small chests; occasional tables and chairs including a rather unusual driftwood chair; lots of modern and antique bedroom furniture; three-piece Parker Knoll suite; two-seater couches and a large double-end settee.

Collectibles include: pieces of Royal Dux, including the two largest Royal Dux figurine vases, measuring 30 inches tall; pieces of Worcester; Belleek; bronzes; Doultons; Hummels; Spode; Beswick; and crystal.

Smaller pieces include: canteens of cutlery; lots of blue and white ware; Staffordshire dogs; jug and basin sets; Vienna wall and other clocks, including a Coleraine long cased clock by I.Anderson.

Viewing commences on January 15 and 16 from 3-5pm and 7-8.30pm and on the day of the sale from 3.30pm, with the auction commencing at 6.30pm on Friday, January 17.
