Bumper careers fair at Cambridge House

HUNDREDS of pupils from the Ballymena and Antrim areas will be attending a careers fair, held under the auspices of Ballymena Business Education Partnership.

A total of 68 exhbitors representing business, industry, training and firther education wil be present on Thursday, February 27, at Cambridge House Grammar School.

Chairperson of Ballymena BEP, Daphne Harshaw said she was delighted that employers and those involved in delivering further and higher education programmes see the fair as a major event in their local calendar.

“With 1600 plus students and teachers expected to pass through during the day we are very happy with the levek of participation. We are grateful to the Principal and Board of Governors of Cambridge House for their assistance in staging this event.”

Support funding for the fair is sourced from the Department of Education which is very keen to foster school/business links, particularly in the light of the revised Northern Ireland curriculum.

The fair opens for business at 9.30am and will be in operation throughout the school day until 3pm apart from a 45 minute lunch break commencing at 12.30pm.
