The amount raised in 2012 topped, benefiting the work of the congregation. The auction allows an opportunity for many to donate household and other items no longer required and should attract a large audience at the viewing and sale.

The event has seen numerous interesting lots sold as bargains and others found as treasures, such as a boxed lot contained hall-marked silver and a collection of costume jewellery with a nine-carat ring.

The excitement is often palatable and the day, though lasting until early evening, just flies such is the variety and quality.

Also already donated are an original Reilly painting, a Causeway stone, 1960s china cabinet, three-seater leather settee, corner unit, dresser, bicycles, gas cooker, single beds, books, jewellery, clocks for restoration, toys, electrical goods and various beautiful ornaments.

There is also an antique pendulum clock, in working order, which has a printed label bearing the name of the prestigious Coleraine clock and watchmaker J. Gilmore, the Diamond and an interesting old travel trunk from another era.

The auctioneers will be supplied from the offices of Armstrong Gordon, Promenade, Portstewart. There are no reserves and all lots will be sold - so come along and share the bargains and excitement.
