Jordan’s Hospice donation

A Ballybogey man who decorated his house with a spectacular Christmas lights display to raise spirits - and much needed funds for the Northern Ireland Children’s Hospice - has donated more than £4,000 to the charity.

Jordan Christie said: “I decided I wanted to try and raise some money for charity this year because it’s been such a tough year for charities due to the current restrictions of the COVID-19 Pandemic. I picked NI Children’s Hospice as my charity because Christmas is all for the kids and it made me think of the children and families who weren’t able to celebrate Christmas properly due to illness and bereavement.

“I set myself a target of £400 to start off with and could not believe how quickly I achieved this! I had exceeded this target within one week. My final total that I have raised is £4,013.72 I have been completely overwhelmed with people’s generosity. I would like to thank every single person who donated towards this figure.”
