Market cooking demo

This tasty food event, organised by Craigavon Borough Council’s Environmental Department, in support of the national Love Food, Hate Waste campaign, will be available from the market opens at 9am until 2pm.

The Good Food NI chef will ‘dish’ out some handy hints and tips on how to cook with leftovers as well as some simple steps we can all take to reduce food waste as well as creating some fabulous recipes with a range of leftover food.

“The demo is a great way of promoting the importance of watching how much food we throw out and show that by being creative and using a little imagination food made from leftovers can be cooked up into some really tasty delicious treats,” said Jennifer Cunningham, recycling officer.

Everyone is invited to come along.
