Spirited Roxy searching for a forever home

MEET the lovely Roxy, a four-year-old Westie and Lhasa Apso cross, who is our Star Dog of the Week.

Roxy is on the search for her new forever home, and has been chosen for us this week by staff at the Dogs Trust Ballymena Rehoming Centre, who have quickly fallen for the little lady.

Roxy would like a quiet home, preferably with older teenage children who can spend some time playing with her, but understand that she may need some down-time too.

She would happily live with another male dog, and enjoys a game of chasing the ball or tug-o-war!

Roxy is undergoing some tests and assessment at the moment as she is slightly under the weather but this hasn’t dampened her fun loving spirit, it just makes her love home comforts even more!

During her time at the centre she has spent quite a bit of time behind reception so has enjoyed being spoilt by all the staff so if you are looking for a new addition to your family this bundle of joy could be the answer.

Dogs Trust care for around 16,000 dogs each year at their 17 Rehoming Centres nationwide, with no healthy dog ever being destroyed.

• Last week’s Dog of the Week, Rio, a a 10-year-old Spaniel Terrier cross, who arrived at Dogs Trust after her owner passed away, is still continuing to search for a loving new home. Those at Dogs Trust certainly have their ‘paws’ crossed that she finds a nice new home soon.
