A 'good beginning' at St Killian's

THE first batch of pupils to sit exams at the newly formed St Killian's College have been praised for helping the school get off to a "very good beginning".

Speaking at the annual distribution of prizes and awards, principal Jonathan Brady told parents, pupils, governors and guests that he "could not have asked for a nicer group of young people" in his first year.

Reflecting on the school's first results, Mr Brady said: "Across the two campuses, 80 per cent of our pupils who sat GCSE exams achieved five or more grades at A* -C. This is a very good beginning and augurs well for the future of all our young people.
