Alleged burglar caught in toilet at McDonald's is remanded in custody
Appearing in the dock of Craigavon Magistrates Court, just across the road from the McDonald’s he alleged burgled last month, Gary Kenneth James O’Hara confirmed that he understood the seven charges against him.
The 24-year-old man has been remanded in custody charged with a series of offences in Craigavon.

Hide AdO’Hara, whose address was given as c/o Maghaberry Prison, is accused of aggravated burglary at the McDonalds branch of Rushmere shopping centre in that when he allegedly burgled the fast food outlet in the early hours of 24 March, he was armed with a baton and a hammer.
O’Hara was arrested hiding in a toilet cubicle shortly after 5.30am when an alarm went off at the fast food outlet. The charges were put to him and the first alleged that on March 24 this year he entered McDonald’s with intent to steal.
O’Hara is also accused of obstructing a constable and damaging two windows of a van belonging to Craigavon Borough Council.
It is further alleged that on the same date he interfered with a motor vehicle or trailer at Lake Road on two occasions, damaged a window belonging to O’Brien’s at Rushmere and damaged a window at the Craigavon Watersports Centre.

Hide AdA police officer said that she could connect the defendant with the charges.
A prosecution lawyer asked for an adjournment for four weeks so that a file could be obtained. O’Hara’s solicitor asked for his bail to be revoked and he was remanded in custody to appear via videolink on May 13.
