£90,000 Children in Need grant for Women's Aid
Causeway Women’s Aid has been awarded the grant over a period of three years and will use the funding to deliver a support programme to children and young people who have been affected by domestic violence and abuse.
With the funding, the project will be able to employ two support workers to run therapeutic group sessions, one to one sessions and a youth forum to give the young people the opportunity to discuss their feelings, enable them to develop a peer support network and build their confidence and self-esteem.

So with this funding from BBC Children in Need we’ll be able to help make a positive difference to their lives.”
Paddy Sloan, National Head of Northern Ireland for BBC Children in Need said: “We are delighted to be associated with Causeway Women’s Aid which provides critical support to the children and young people involved, at a time and in a place where they need it most. A big thank you to everyone who has fundraised or donated to make these grants possible!”
The newly awarded grant comes as BBC Children in Need celebrates its highest ever fundraising total; £55m was raised during the Charity’s 2015 appeal.
