Ballinderry’s daredevil

Amanda Sherry, 34, works as a Pharmacy Checking Technician at Maghaberry Pharmacy where she has worked for 13 years.

Amanda is married to Mark and they have two children, Caitlin 14 and Jay 8.

Amanda is well known in the area for taking on challenges to raise money for charity. Her daredevil fundraising has included, abseils, sky dives, runs and assault courses. She is currently in training for the ‘Tough Mudder’ challenge, which takes place in England and is quite feat as it involves quite a bit of swimming and Amanda is not fond of water. She also hopes to do a zipline challenge to raise money for charity too.

Speaking about her nomination Amanda said she was delighted. “I do what I can today and I might not be able to do it tomorrow.”
