Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council's Ballymoney Museum Officer, Daniel Taylor marks the 250th anniversary of John MacBride's arrival at Port Egmont by holding a talk on Thursday 21st January at 8pm in Ballymoney Town Hall.

The talk marks John MacBride’s arrival at Port Egmont to establish the first British settlement on the Falkland Islands. It explores the life and career of the Ballymoney man and charts his historic expedition to the Islands through his own words using letters and the logbook of his ship, HMS Jason.
