Broughshane man visits the Palace

A Broughshane man has described being invited to Buckingham Palace as ‘one of the greatest days of his life’.

Trevor Crawford, who was awarded the BEM in the Queen’s Birthday Honours List, attended a garden party at the Palace on Thursday accompanied by his daughter Janice Butler.

The occasion was attended by The Queen, Prince Philip, Princess Anne, Princess Beatrice, Prince & Princess Michael of Kent and the Duke & Duchess of Gloucester.

Speaking afterwards, Trevor said: “It was one of the greatest days of my life and a real honour to have been invited.”

Daughter Janice said of her dad: “My mum Eleanor, brother Rodney, his grandchildren Claire, David, Mark and the whole family circle were really proud of him”.
