Broughshane WI host AGM

Slemish Executive member Ethel Simpson conducted the AGM, assisted by tellers Anna Mae Wharry and Moira McAllister.

Annual reports were given by Minutes Secretary Shirley Knox, Treasurer Avril Kidd and International Officer Annie Davison.

Mae Small, Annie Hamilton, Mary Knox and Isobel Petticrew were congratulated on their successful entries at Ballymena Show, with Mae Small receiving the Finlay Cup.

Winner of the Competition Cup was Martha Wilson, and the Runner-up shield went to Annie Hamilton.

Vice-President Diana McCaughey gave a comprehensive vote of thanks. Eileen Mol was elected as new President.
