CD launch to boost Macmillan funds

THE concert in 2nd Moneymore Presbyterian Church Hall is where Richard Finlay will be releasing his new CD, The Cookstown 100, tomorrow night (Friday).

The plan is to use the release of the CD to help raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support.

A great night has been planned where Richard and Adrainne Brooks have teamed up a great act. “It is something different,” said Richard who will be singing some of his latest songs.

The evening will be compered by Rodney Clarke, from Upper Ballinderry, who is one of the best compere’s around and is sure to have the crowd in stitches.

Then there is local man John Burns and his band to give a taste of Elvis, Gospel and a few old favourites.

In the second half of the evening as the concert runs in the week of the Titanic, Frazer Agnew will provide Titanic features, and another local group will be playing with some traditional music for that scene. There will also be a taste of Rod Stewart!

And the charity will also be making tea for everyone during the interval.

It should be a great night so why not come along and see a great line-up of acts, and support a very worthwhile charity who do an thankless task when we are at our greatest time of need.
