Charity condemns bogus collection
MAGHERA Committee of Cancer Research has claimed that five young boys recently took part in a bogus collection for the charity.
The committee said it was “appalled” to find the boys - aged 12 to 15 years - collecting on Good Friday evening.
“They were not authorised by the charity and police have been informed. If this should happen again in your area, please contact the police immediately on 0845 5006000,” said a spokesperson.
