Controlled explosions at Lisburn army barracks

THREE controlled explosions have been carried out by the Army at Thiepval Barracks in Lisburn.

The controlled explosions were carried out at about 8pm on Friday night.

A spokesman for the Ministry of Defence said nothing suspicious was found during the incident.

"We carried out three controlled explosions on an object which turned out to be not suspicious," the MoD spokesman said.
