Man in court on attempted murder charge
A man has appeared at a special sitting of Ballymena Magistrates Court charged with attempted murder.
Andrew Linton (26) from Cloughmills, was charged in connection with an incident in the North Antrim village in the early hours of Monday morning.
A 34 year-old man was assaulted in the Main Street area close to its junction with Loughill Road and Drumdoon Road. He was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment for his injuries and his condition is described as critical
