Motorist was over legal alcohol limit
A motorist stopped due to a defective tyre was found to be drink driving Londonderry Magistrates Court has heard.
Jason Hasson (24) of 27, Shanreagh Park admitted being over the legal limit on September 23 last. Police stopped a vehicle driven by Hasson who was found to have a defective tyre.
As police were issuing the paperwork they noticed a smell of alcohol and a breath test registered at 32mgs over the limit.
Seamus Quigley, defending said Hasson was a delivery driver and a friend had asked him in a for a few beers.
He was banned from driving for a year and fined £125.
