Police armed response unit seize haul of fireworks

Details of the operation which took place on Sunday afternoon, were revealed in a social media post on the Mid Ulster Police Facebook site.

It reads: “If you are thinking of buying, possessing or using fireworks, start to think about applying for a licence.

“If you don’t have a licence you run the risk of having your fireworks confiscated by police.

"This is what happened in the Maghera area this afternoon when a haul of fireworks was taken from two young males by an Armed Response Unit.”
