Two cats die following poisoning incident in Mid Ulster

Two cats have died since the Mail reported the story in last week’s edition.
Sylvia Wren said both cats had been poisoned and believes they had consumed the strychnine by licking their paws.

Hide Ad“It is a very dangerous situation and we would like people to be careful,” she said.
The poison was scattered along the Drummeen Road, off the Cookstown dual carriageway, and the dogs are believed to have eaten it while out walking with their owners two weeks ago. Both suffered agonising deaths according to Mrs Wren.
