Van driver fined £95 for speeding
The driver of a Ford Transit van caught travelling at 61mph in a 50mph zone on the Glenshane Road, Maghera, was fined £95 with three penalty points on a speeding charge.
Ronan Johnston (37), of Ballydugennan Villas, Toome, was detected by police on May 2 last.
A PPS lawyer told Magherafelt Magistrates Court that the defendant did not avail of a speed awareness course.
At the same court, Scott Burns (20), from Douglas Drive, Newton Mearns, Glasgow, was fined £135 with three penalty points on a similar charge.
