Woman on murder charge faces money probe

A WOMAN accused of murdering her husband has been released into police custody to be questioned about alleged money laundering.

Suwei Shang, whose address is given on court papers as Francis Street, has been on remand since November last year accused of murdering her husband, Damien Keenan.

A PSNI inspector applied to Londonderry Magistrate’s Court for the 39-year-old to be released into their custody to be questioned for three days in relation to alleged money laundering.

District Judge Barney McElholm granted the application and said Shang could be brought back any time before that.
