Drumahoe WI
President Helen Wylie welcomed members to the March meeting of Drumahoe Women’s Institute.
The guest speakers for the evening were Mrs Gabrielle Deans and Mrs Joan Robinson, who both gave most informative and engaging talks on the courses available at the U3A (Foyle). Members learned that the Foyle Branch was started by Pascal McDonald in 1989. There are 21 U3A Branches in Northern Ireland with approximately 720 members. As many of our Institute already belonged to this wonderful organisation plenty of conversation followed with personal stories adding to the enthusiastic reception extended to our two Speakers. The Vote of thanks was proposed by Lorraine Tease.
Winner of the monthly competition for the most attractive necklace was Helen Wylie.
