Fresh appeal for witnesses to fatal ​ collision

Police have renewed their appeal for information into a fatal road traffic collision in Carrickfergus on Tuesday, September 29.

A female pedestrian, aged in her 50s, died from injuries sustained in a collision with a Mitsubishi car shortly after 5.00pm on Rogers Quay.

Inspector Nick Sturdy is asking anyone who was at the location that evening and who witnessed the incident to contact the PSNI in Carrickfergus or the Collision Investigation Unit.

He is particularly keen to speak with a woman who came to the assistance of the deceased prior to the arrival of emergency services.

Witnesses can contact police by calling the non-emergency number 101.
