Funding for materials
The group has asked for funding of £1500 to help with the purchase of plants and materials.
Members of the council’s Parks, Countryside and Amenities sub-committee agreed to accept the request.

Hide AdMeanwhile, Whitehead is due to take part in this year’s Royal Horticultural Society Britain in Bloom UK Finals in the Small Town category.
During the summer, the seaside town will be visited by RHS judges, who will meet community representatives and go on a tour of local projects. As well as bedding displays, judges will inspect everything from local recycling initiatives to areas of natural habitat and conservation.
