‘Hate crime’ is one line of enquiry

POLICE in Ballymoney are investigating an incident of criminal damage to a property in the Mountview Crescent area of Ballybogey during the early hours of Thursday June 28.

Around 12:30am the elderly residents were awakened by the sound of two windows being broken.

A motive for the incident has yet to be established but a hate crime is one line of enquiry, a PSNI spokesperson said.

Anyone who noticed any suspicious activity in the area or who has any information is asked to contact police at Ballymoney on 08456008000. Information can also be passed anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800555111.
