Have a go at hedgegrows

THOUSANDS of native trees will be taking root this weekend as part a new hedgerow initiative led by the Belfast Hills Partnership.

Volunteers, the public and staff will create a wildlife corridor stretching for more than 800 metres and encompassing over 5,000 trees.

The community event at Ballycolin Road will see people of all ages branching out and getting down and dirty to learn the traditional skills of native hedgerow planting.
