Health and Safety Executive to investigate Tyrone bull-goring death

The Health and Safety Executive is to investigate the death of Galbally farmer Seamus Kelly, who was gored by a bull at his own farm last Friday.

Mr Kelly, who was in his sixties, is understood to have suffered severe chest wounds in the attack.

Both the PSNI and paramedics were called to the scene, but sadly he could not be saved.

A spokesperson for the executive said: “HSENI is aware of the death of a farmer on Friday 26 June and is investigating the circumstances. Our thoughts are with the man’s family at this difficult time.

“At the family’s request no further information is being released at this time.”

The father of two was laid to rest after Requiem Mass at Church of the Immaculate Conception in Altmore on Monday morning.
