Heritage visit for Drumbeg ladies
DRUMBEG: For the May meeting, the ladies of Drumbeg WI visited Bann Valley Heritage at Laurencetown near Banbridge, where they were welcomed by the owner Mr Norman Kerr.
Everyone enjoyed viewing the collection of farm, household and linen industry memorabilia. On the way to Banbridge they enjoyed a meal at the Halfway House.
The June meeting was the Annual General Meeting. Outgoing President Suzanne Reid welcomed former Executive Member Ann McCurdy and tellers from Ravarnette WI. The new committee was elected with Doris Campbell as President.
Suzanne presented the competition cup to Hazel Ervine and the quiz team displayed the Lagan area plaque.
