Impressive A Level exam success

Cambridge House Grammar School pupils attained an impressive 68% A*-C pass rate in this year’s A2 Level examination results.

This is a strong three year upward trend of 28% in the top grades.

Ten subjects achieved 100% pass rates at A*-C grades. Overall the school can record a 100% pass rate for ‘A’Level pupils A*-E grades.

Special mention must be made of Jonathan Simpson who gained four A grades (Geography, Mathematics, Physics Technology), Amy Smyth who also achieved four A Level grades (Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics Physics) and Aaron Murphy who gained three A* grades (Mathematics, Further Mathematics, Physics)

Josh McIroy, this year’s Head Boy, entered Cambridge House Grammar School in Year 8 with a D grade, he leaves with three top grades A* (Business Studies), A (Geography) B(Physics).

Commenting after receiving his results, Josh said: “I am really happy with my results, I am grateful that my teachers pushed me on to achieve my best. I will really miss Cambridge House.”

Deputy Head Girl Nicole Kell said: “Cambridge House is a fantastic school and I have thoroughly enjoyed my time there, especially my role as Deputy Head Girl. I am delighted with my A Level results of ABB.”

Principal, Mrs Elma Lutton extended congratulations to all the pupils.

She attributed their success not only to their own hard work but also to the support of their parents and to the teaching and non-teaching staff for their ongoing professional commitment and loyalty to the young people of Cambridge House Grammar.

She said the school has, yet again, confirmed its position as a grammar school delivering a sound and successful academic, career driven curriculum.
