Michelle McSweeney spoke to the TIMES after the hilarious recording, featuring 23 year-old Megan, was first shared on the Irish news website Her.ie after Michelle posted it on her own Facebook page.

The video, which has since gone viral, was then shown on Ireland AM, and a licensing company in New York has even contacted her to ask for the rights to the footage.

“It’s all got a bit out of hand!”, Michelle said on Friday.

“I’ve had loads of calls about it, and I didn’t even know if I would put it up in the first place, to be honest.

“The two of us haven’t even a scrap of make-up on us, we were waiting on my husband to come and we were in a car park. For a bit of a laugh, we said we will show the video to him when he came back and then I said I would throw it up on Facebook. It has all happened very quickly and has been totally unexpected.”

Asked whether Megan was anywhere close to passing her driving test, her mum, who has two other daughters aged 18 and 12, quipped: “Well, if she does, it won’t be because of any lessons from me!”
