Lacada Brewery raises for RNLI

During their AGM on Friday November 4, Lacada Brewery presented the RNLI with a cheque for £600.

The money was raised through the recent Portrush Beer and Food Festival for the great work of the charity in the local region.

Heather Quiery (Chair of Lacada) stated that: “It has always been part of the ethos of Lacada, as a co-operative and community funded business, to support local events, charities and community based projects wherever possible. As such we are delighted to present this cheque to the RNLI to help contribute to the hugely important work that they do”. The Beer and Food Festival, which took place in Portrush Town Hall on September 30 and October 1, was organised by Lacada and was the first of its kind in the town.

Having received great attendance and fantastic feedback from event goers and local businesses alike, the festival is something the organisers very much hope will become an annual event.

This year’s first event received support from the local CCAG Food Network, Naturally North Coast and Glens and Fairley’s House of Wines. For further information on Lacada and their range of products and community engagement, check out their website at: www.lacadabrewery.com
