Larne woman claimed benefits she was not entitled to

A Larne woman was convicted at Antrim Magistrates' court for claiming benefits she was not entitled to.

Lisa Barrett (33) of Carneal Road, Larne claimed Income Support and Housing Benefit totalling £5,023 while failing to declare employment. She was given 100 hours community service and ordered to pay court costs of £31.

She is also required to repay any outstanding money wrongfully obtained to the Social Security Agency.
