Lesser Spotted Ulster in Ballykelly tonight

JOE Mahon has taken his popular UTV show ‘Lesser Spotted Ulster’ to Ballykelly, with an episode about the Roe Valley village to be broadcast tonight.

The former Radio Foyle man visits the award winning chip shop Tommy’s for a fish supper, and takes in the landscape and beauty of the County Londonderry village.

Lesser Spotted Ulster is to showcase the local history and environmental beauty of Ballykelly in tonight’s episode, due to be broadcast on UTV at 8pm.

Joe Mahon will explore Ballykelly’s historic buildings, and a Presbyterian church known for its “smoky services and diminutive ministers.”

Tonight’s episode is the first of a two part special about Ballykelly, with the second part due to be broadcast next week, with a large focus on the town’s aviation history.
