Major water scheme starts

NI Water is carry out £1.5m worth of improvement work to watermains in the Dunmurry and Lisburn area.

Theupgraded water mains will improve the quality, reliability and security of the local water supply, while reducing leakage and improving pressure in the area.

The programme of work will get underway this month and will continue until Summer 2015.

Work will get underway in the Killeaton Gardens and Killeaton Crescent area of Dunmurry on the 8th December, and will move on to the Ballygowan Road area of Hillsborough in January, followed by work in the Edentrillick Road /Nettlehill Road area of Lisburn in March 2015.

Some delays are expected and parking may be restricted in certain areas but signage and traffic management will be in place.

“We will endeavour to complete this scheme as quickly as possible. NI Water and our contractor Farrans Construction will complete letter drops to advise residents of this programme of work.
