Man arrested following drug and equipment seizure in the city

The Organised Crime Branch arrested a 33-year-old man in the Waterside on Monday, September 7, following a house search.

The arrest is linked to the seizure of a haul of steroids worth over £30,000, which was intercepted in England, en route to an address in the city. A large quantity of suspected counterfeit DVDs and electronic equipment was also recovered.

The man was arrested on suspicion of attempted possession of class C controlled drugs, attempted possession of class C controlled drugs with intent to supply, conspiracy to supply class C controlled drugs, importation of class C drugs and copyright offences.

He is currently in custody assisting officers with their enquiries.
