March meeting of Ballievey WI held

A warm welcome was extended to Garden Designer Vanessa Drew, and after her ‘very informative’ talk on how to plan out their gardens and paths the ladies all look forward to having the garden of their dreams.

The vote of thanks to Vanessa was given by Iris Megaw.

The competition for ‘A Knitted Scarf to go forward to the Area Meeting was won by Lesley Martin who also won the ballot.

The Institute competition was ‘A Gardening Tip’ and this was won by Marjorie Adams with Joan Moore runner-up.

The Annual Outing will take place on Sat 4th June when we will visit the renovated Mountstewart House and Gardens.

The meeting closed with the singing of ‘A Countrywoman’s Song’.
