McAfee Auctions sale

From a grand piano to an unusual Clarice Cliff cauldron, there really is something for everyone in the McAfee Auctions first sale of 2016 in their Ballycastle Auction Rooms.

The contents of several estate clearance and from people downsizing, there is a good mix of antique and general furniture, collectibles, clocks, and a larger selection than normal of paintings and pictures.

As well as the normal dining room and chair sets, display cabinets, occasional tables and chairs, bedroom furniture, sideboards, pine dresser and other pine furniture, the sale includes an upright piano, a leather upholstered three and matching two seater settee, a painted and oak kitchen table and chair set, a small breakfront walnut side cabinet, walnut chest, large farmhouse table and chair set, oak dresser, three piece suite together with lots of smaller pieces including a campaign ships standing desk, large oval walnut canterbury, hat and boot stand, two single door side cabinets, cast metal stickstand, marble top, a pair and other bedside cabinets etc.

Smaller lots and collectibles include a clarice cliff petunia pattern cauldron, bronze and bronzed figurines, a pair of figurine and other pair of table lamps, oil lamps, tea and dinner sets, lots of brass ornaments, jug and basin sets, silver plate, wall, mantle and other clocks, crystal, pottery, Toucan Guinness lamp, old light fittings, etc.

A large collection and selection of art is also included in the sale and includes works by Gregory Moore, Donal McNaughton, J P Rooney, Victor Cerefice, Richard Faulkner, Tom Quinn, Sam McLarnon, Tanya Smith, George C Morrison, Ronald Keefer, William Cunningham, David Overend, Lorraine Christy, Jim McDonald, Patricia Woods, Julia Duff, M Stevenson, etc.

Viewing for the sale commences on Wednesday and Thursday 20th & 21st January from 3.00 – 5.00pm and 7.00 – 8.30pm and on the day of the sale Friday 22nd of January from 3.30pm to start of the sale at 6.30pm
