The Deputy Mayor of Craigavon, said: “This time of year is stressful for both parents and students. Having worked hard for 2 years and sitting through tough exams, the results part can be an emotional experience.

“Whatever the outcome, it’s very important that young people realise that this is just the first part of their journey in life. Whether you got the results you wanted or not, there is still a very long road ahead of you, with many twists and turns.

“Everyone has a lot of potential and very different skills, and there are many varying options for our young people today. Everyone should look forward with optimism, and ensure they listen to as many people as possible to get the right advice and hear all that is on offer. If I can be of any help or offer any advice, I am more than happy to do so, and I would urge anyone to get in touch with me.”
