Messages received after petrol bomb attack on Tobermore mission hall ‘overwhelming’

A fundraising event is being held this Saturday in aid of a Protestant mission hall which was damaged in an arson attack near Tobermore in June.

Mainly smoke damage was caused to the entrance area of the building which is located in an isolated area.

A window was broken an bottle containing flammable liquid was thrown in.

A spokesperson for the Kilcronaghan hall said the number of messages sent “has been overwhelming.”

“On behalf of the committe and, indeed those who are connected to the hall, can I say a big thank you to all those people who have so kindly offered help,” she said.

“You all will have opportunity to support the hall through fundraising. There will be a family fun day on Saturday between 2-5pm at Mill Park, Tobermore.

“There will be a social in St Lurach’s Maghera on Friday September 18. A praise night on Saturday, September 19 at 7.30pm Simple Faith Concert at St Lurach’s Maghera.”
